Direction to Use 

  • This medication should be taken by mouth, typically once a day, or as directed. Always follow all instructions on the product label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Never exceed the recommended dosage. If you have any questions about this product, please do not hesitate to consult your physician or pharmacist. 
  • This medication should be taken with an empty stomach at least one hour before or two hours after a meal. If your doctor tells you to take it with food, you can. However, if you experience stomach upset, you should take it with food. 
  • It should not be taken within 2 hours of drinking antacids or any dairy products. It should not be taken with tea or coffee, as they may reduce the effectiveness of this medication. Do not take this medication for more than 10 minutes after you have eaten.  
  • It is important to take this medication regularly to reap the full benefits. To ensure that you remember to take it, it is recommended to take it at the same time every day. It will also help keep your body’s vitamins and minerals balanced, leading to more effective results. 

Side Effects 

If you’ve been prescribed this medication by your doctor, keep in mind that the doctor has determined that the benefits to you outweigh the risks. Most people who take this medication don’t experience any serious adverse reactions. Such common side effects are –

Precautions

  • If your multivitamin brand also has folic acid in it, make sure you tell your doctor/pharmacist if you are vitamin B12 deficient (severe anaemia). Folic acid can interfere with some lab tests of vitamin B12 deficiency, but it won’t treat your anaemia. If you don’t take your multivitamin, it can lead to serious nerve damage (for example, peripheral neuropathy. Talk to your doctor/pharmacist for more information). 
  • If you have any allergies to any of the ingredients listed above, or to any of the other ingredients found in certain brands of multivitamins or Multimineral Tablets, please inform your doctor/pharmacist before taking this product.
